The flowers in spring are just awesome. One after another one, they compete to show off their beauty amidst the short span of time. This competition and successions is something we don't normally see in tropical region.
Vegetables from my patio(after 2 months in soil) and flowers and plants from farmer's market of Evanston (just started today). *Hooray, Farmer's Market is here again!
This has been a long and cold winter. The last week has brought dramatically warmer temperatures shifting temperatures over 30 degrees from the teens and 20's to the 40's and 50's to melt the snow. If you look around, you will see signs of spring with a few early flowers --- Crocuses, shoots of daffodils and tulips, tiny blue flowers of Siberian Squill. Magnolia trees are now beginning to bud. Robins are now singing in the early morning.
